Job Title : AWS Network Engineer

Location : Denver, CO (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AWS Network Engineer to support and optimize cloud-based network infrastructure for telecommunications environments. The engineer will work with advanced AWS services to enhance network performance, reliability, monitoring, and automation. The ideal candidate has hands-on AWS networking expertise and experience supporting network operations in large-scale, distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities Network Architecture & Optimization

Design, configure, and optimize AWS network architectures including VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, Transit Gateway, security groups, NACLs, and load balancers .

Implement secure, scalable networking patterns that support telecom network workloads.

Support network connectivity for distributed systems running on AWS (EC2, Lambda, containers).

Network Monitoring & Automation

Implement cloud-native monitoring using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS networking logs .

Assist in the automation of network operations and monitoring workflows using AWS-native tools.

Support early detection of network anomalies and performance bottlenecks.

Integration with AI-Driven Network Operations

Work closely with architecture and data teams to integrate network telemetry into AI / ML-driven operations platforms.

Enable data flow from AWS network components to AIOps tools for outage prediction and performance optimization.

Assist in implementing automated remediation scripts and event-driven network responses.

Troubleshooting & Network Reliability

Troubleshoot issues with routing, connectivity, latency, DNS (Route 53), and cross-service communication.

Perform root-cause analysis for network outages and performance degradation.

Support continuous improvement of network resilience and availability.

Collaboration & Support

Partner with network engineers, operations teams, and architects to deliver robust cloud networking solutions.

Participate in technical discussions for network improvements and modernization.

Assist in documenting cloud network designs, standards, and runbooks.

Required Qualifications

5 8+ years of experience in cloud networking or telecom network infrastructure.

Strong hands-on expertise with AWS networking services :

VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect / VPN, ALB / NLB, Security Groups, NACLs

Familiarity with telecom network environments, network protocols, and distributed network operations.

Experience with AWS automation and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Lambda).

Strong understanding of IAM, network security, and encryption best practices.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS networking or architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Solutions Architect).

Experience supporting AIOps or AI-assisted network environments.

Knowledge of network automation / scripting (Python, Bash).

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI / CD workflows.
