About the Role

The Director of Construction & Design leads a team of Architects and Project Managers responsible for delivering major construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects. This role serves as the owner's representative, developing project delivery strategies, overseeing contracts, and managing risk across multiple initiatives.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage complex projects while maintaining positive working relationships across departments and with external partners. Consistent, reliable attendance and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and Architects through all phases of design and construction
• Develop project delivery strategies that support efficiency and high-quality outcomes
• Oversee contract negotiation, procurement, and construction administration
• Identify and manage project risks to maintain schedule and budget goals
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal policies
• Manage multiple major construction projects simultaneously
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
