Job descriptionLead and supervise daily jobsite operations for retail projects from mobilization through final turnover. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams to maintain smooth workflow. Drive project schedules, anticipate challenges, and proactively resolve field-related issues. Enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain full OSHA and company compliance. Interpret and review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate on-site execution. Maintain thorough documentation including daily logs, inspections, RFIs, and progress reports. Partner closely with Project Managers on scheduling, material procurement, change orders, and quality control. Build strong relationships with clients, local officials, and inspectors to support project delivery. Mentor and guide field staff, promoting accountability, teamwork, and high-quality craftsmanship. Proven experience as a Commercial Superintendent in retail construction , including ground-up or open-store remodels. Minimum of 3+ years managing commercial field operations. Strong understanding of retail build sequencing, site logistics, and fast-paced schedules. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and schedules. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of construction safety standards; OSHA 30 preferred. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam , or similar construction management tools. Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Our client, a well-established Florida general contractor specializing in ground-up and renovation retail construction, is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee projects throughout the Boynton Beach area. This individual will manage all on-site activities, ensuring every job is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest level of quality.
