About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Superintendent to support the construction of a 300-unit mixed-use podium multifamily project in Denver. This individual will assist in managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality control, and supporting the successful delivery of the project on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate has multifamily or mixed-use experience, understands podium construction (concrete + wood-frame), and is passionate about building high-quality communities in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in managing daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Support the development, communication, and maintenance of the project schedule.
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Help implement project safety programs; conduct tool-box talks and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Assist with layout, inspections, and punch-list management.
- Review drawings, RFIs, and submittals; help identify conflicts and work with the project team to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and documentation in the project management software (e.g., Procore).
- Coordinate with city inspectors and consultants as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
