• Drives new development opportunities through market analysis, financial feasibility studies, and preliminary due diligence.
• Directs creation of detailed pro formas for new developments, integrating market data, operating expenses, and projected hard / soft costs.
• Oversees product design and development to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes.
• Conducts on-site visits to monitor construction progress, including framing and general walkthroughs, ensuring quality and adherence to plans.
• Leads development meetings covering design specifications, contract negotiations, and coordination with construction teams.
• Manages collaboration among architects, engineers, designers, property owners, and project stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Monitors compliance with approved plans, promptly communicating critical issues to the Development Department Head.
• Manages the construction draw process, prepares monthly project reports, and reviews all construction phases for quality and budget control.
• Oversees third-party inspections and bond releases for projects nearing completion.
• Participates in company training programs related to safety, compliance, and workplace standards.
• Ensures full compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

The Successful Applicant

Education, required knowledge, skills, and abilities : Real Estate Finance, Finance, or similar field degree; 10+ years of experience with an understanding of real estate investment, development, design, and construction fundamentals; exceptional analytical skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong problem-solving skills; demonstrated presence and confidence, able to interact with senior management team as well as current and potential clients; ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight; exceptional technical skills and working knowledge of ARGUS, MS Office, and Microsoft Project Software; business travel as needed with overnight stay requirements.
