Sentara Health is hiring a Full-Time Day-shift Process Improvement Engineer for the Operations Improvement team
Role Overview
This role involves making changes in operational or transformational processes with a strategic or operational focus. The Process Improvement Engineer will interface with Process Improvement staff to support leaders, identify improvement opportunities, organize resources, select and implement appropriate methodologies, and ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide project support for designing, planning, and implementing process improvement projects such as Lean Six Sigma, Rapid Improvement, Reengineering, Process Redesign, CQI, Business Development, Benchmarking, and Productivity Improvements.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines, and facilitate change processes considering financial, operational, and human resource aspects.
- Assist in implementing radical changes in technology, processes, and personnel to help the organization maintain cost discipline, reduce costs, and improve quality, safety, or revenue.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree required; Industrial Engineering preferred.Certification / Licensure
Lean Six Sigma, Rapid Improvement, Reengineering, Process Redesign, CQI, Business Development, Benchmarking, Productivity Improvements, or Technology Breakthroughs preferred.Experience
