Float Dialysis Patient Care Technician

How you will change lives

As a Float Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you'll play a vital role in a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients dealing with renal failure. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will engage directly with patients to deliver necessary treatments and support.

What you'll be doing

Patient Care : You will interact closely with patients, ensuring they receive safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Your responsibilities include gathering patient statistics before and after treatments, initiating and monitoring treatments, safely terminating treatments, and collecting patient blood samples as instructed by physicians.

Technician Duties : You will be responsible for preparing dialysis machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment, and conducting safety checks while logging results for quality assurance. Adhering to all protocols and regulations is critical.

Safety and Quality : You will implement appropriate safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment, while strictly following company policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Participation in all necessary staff meetings and continuing education programs will also be a vital part of your role.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A genuine desire to work in healthcare and assist patients.
• Prior healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.
• Comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate following protocols.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
