A leading regional CPA and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join its Emerging Growth & Technology practice in Los Angeles. This role will focus on advising startups, venture-backed, and high-growth companies across industries such as technology, life sciences, and digital media. The firm is known for its strong entrepreneurial culture and hands-on partnership with clients through all stages of growth—from seed and Series A to exit. The incoming director will serve as a trusted advisor to founders, CFOs, and investors, providing strategic tax planning and guidance in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

Base pay range : $200,000.00 / yr - $250,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance and consulting engagements for early-stage and high-growth clients.
• Advise on entity structure, equity compensation, R&D credits, M&A transactions, and state & local tax considerations.
• Work closely with entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, and finance teams on growth planning and exit strategies.
• Oversee and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Participate in business development efforts and expand relationships within the startup and venture ecosystems.
