Business Development Leader
Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS) is seeking an experienced business development leader to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate team that works with our strategic ASCS customers to develop and execute high-impact partnerships. Key job responsibilities include building a comprehensive strategy for ASCS customers with internal leadership teams across multiple supply chain services. You will work across multiple services to help evaluate, negotiate, and ultimately cross-sell transportation and logistics services. You will also help establish commercial frameworks for negotiation, including integrated proposals across multiple services.
You will be responsible for sharing customer feedback from key strategic accounts on how to deliver an enterprise-grade commercial, operational, and product solution to a diverse and often senior group of stakeholders. You dive deep and provide thoughtful analysis, but have a bias for action, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. You will be required to handle multiple projects and act as a trusted advisor to Amazon and customer executives, and position ASCS offerings as a lever to impact strategic priorities such as growth, risk management, and innovation.
Basic qualifications include 7+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience, 7+ years of professional or military experience, and a bachelor's degree. Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner. Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations is also preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills to explain complex issues and influence stakeholders internally and externally are required. A strong understanding of supply chain technologies, business models, and trends is preferred. Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations and foster long-term opportunities is required. 10+ years in technology or supply chain business development, consulting, or investment banking experience is preferred. Knowledge of Amazon's supply chain ecosystem and service offerings is required. Experience with digital transformation initiatives in supply chain is preferred. Experience with buy vs. build analysis and considerations is required. Experience structuring and negotiating successful partnership go-to-market sales motions is preferred.

The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
