Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma and teaching hospital Handles a high volume of ortho, trauma, spine, neuro, and craniotomy cases with minimal pediatrics RN to patient ratio is 1 : 1 Assigned to night shifts, 3x12 hours, from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00 Weekend work is required as needed, typically every third weekend No on-call or floating requirements for this role Scrubs are provided for OR RNs Cerner is used as the charting system Care for surgical patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma OR environment Adhere to the quality and patient safety standards, including barcoded medication administration Orientation and required modules completed during the first week Must be able to work two out of three major holidays; no time off allowed during the first week of assignment Free parking available on-site for staff First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions Applicants with prior permanent, PRN, or EP experience at the facility must wait 12 months before reapplying Return travelers who cancelled within 10 days of a prior contract start are ineligible Requirements Active, unrestricted AZ or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, neuro, and craniotomies needed Level I trauma experience required, but recent Level II trauma experience in similar large facilities may be considered Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Charge experience is a plus Two professional references required, including one from the most recent employer within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622999.
