HOURS From 34-40 hours per week

SHIFT Seeking work schedule availability open on all days including Friday, Saturday, Sunday. The operations generally range between the window of 6am-4pm and the work schedules are published three weeks in advance.

No set schedule!!



PAY The starting rate/salary for this position ranges from $19- 27 and will be based on IKEAs relevant work experience and other things

This position is Monday- Friday between 6-4pm There will be weekends required throughout the year to support Peak days but have only averaged out to be 10x per year. We are looking for someone with retail apparel visual merchandising or interior design experience. This role is 25% 3D Planning and 75% Hands-on implementation (painting, building furniture, installing furniture, physically decorating rooms)- Interior Designers create, develop, and install all rooms across the store. . They need to have independence with project planning, meeting deadlines, and creative thinking. While we use REVIT, a 3D illustration program, or similar is required. AutoCad or Adobe Suite experience is a plus.



We are looking for an artful Interior designer to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design. The goal is to design practical spaces but yet visually pleasing.

Responsibilities

Undertake design project from concept to completion
Define project requirements and schedule during the brief
Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
Set costs and project fees according to budget
Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
Produce sample and mood products
Supervise work progress
Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors
Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices


2 year interior design or similar experience
Proficient in Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup or similar software
Associates degree OR Interior Design Certificate required

What you'll be doing day to day

Leverages interior design knowledge and experience to execute room settings, vignettes, and sales support areas
Executes the showroom vision to reflect a wide variety of styles, price points and living situations
Implement department action plan to grow the business and increase profitability
Uses creative approach to solve home furnishing challenges that exist in the local market
Utilizes interior design tools to ensure simplicity, cost-effectiveness and efficiency in store design
Remains up-to-date and knowledgeable about current home furnishing and interior design trends
Secures an impression of new and inspiring solutions to meet the demands of our customers
