Telephone Operator
As the Telephone Operator , you will be asked to deliver excellent customer service through all calls received during all operating hour of the hospital.
Superior customer service experience, ability to respond to hospital codes and emergencies and ability to interact with employees, physicians, and customers via phone calls.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Works on Telecommunications switchboard / console
- Provides outstanding customer service
- Uses Electronic Medical Record System to locate current census to route calls accordingly
- Answers and remediate all incoming and outgoing phone calls
- Handles and routes all emergency pages and calls according to department procedures
- Screens call to ensure HIPPA compliancy
- Ensures on-call staff is contacted appropriately in accordance with nursing supervisor
- Ensure all daily on call lists are maintained and followed
Required :
- High School diploma or equivalent and stable work history.
- Experience working on a switchboard or in a call center.
Preferred :
- Work in a high volume mission-critical environment is a plus.
- The ability to work with a diverse customer base and provide superior customer service.
