We design captivating, luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend traditional limitations in space, performance, and intelligence. Our design philosophy places the individual and the environment at the center of every decision.
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer motivated by the application of control theory to achieve desired powertrain performance and vehicle dynamics. The role offers the opportunity to architect and design control systems that elevate vehicle ride and handling attributes through actuation of motors, brakes, steering, and the suspension system. Our ideal candidate approaches problem solving with vigor, learns quickly, and strives for excellence in a fast-paced environment.
We encourage you to join a team of accomplished minds and innovators who want to make a meaningful impact on a sustainable future.
The Role
- Apply control theory to vehicle longitudinal dynamics, handling dynamics, ride dynamics, and NVH to achieve desired vehicle attributes
- Apply digital signal processing, digital controls, and communication protocols to design controls architecture on hardware and in software
- Use linear analysis techniques and frequency domain analysis
- Perform system analysis of the controls architecture to identify noise factors and potential failure modes
- Develop requirements and related test cases for features modeled in Matlab / Simulink
- Assist integration of features into the controller code base
- Occasional travel for vehicle testing
