Overview

We have an exciting opportunity in our CEC Toledo office for a passionate and motivated project manager to join our growing solid waste engineering team.

You'll work primarily on Ohio solid waste projects, and will also support our waste practice team located across the CEC geographic footprint.

Projects will involve completing engineering tasks such as airspace, excavation, and fill volume calculations, preparation, review and compilation of technical reports, stormwater management system design, landfill grading, and leachate and landfill gas collection system design.

You will assist our waste management clients by providing day-to-day operational support, as well as manage Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) for landfill cell, final cover and gas system expansion construction projects.

You will also assist our engineering team with site development and geotechnical engineering projects. You will interact with CEC office and field staff, clients and contractors and your efforts will be part of the overall completion of design / permitting, construction and certification projects.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with landfill engineering projects (Michigan preferred);
  • Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process;
  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering;
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure preferred;
  • Experienced in AutoCAD / Civil 3D; and,
  • Sound understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools.
