The Environmental Health and SafetySpecialist (EHS) is responsible for various duties andresponsibilities including :
- Acting asa subject matter expert in environmental health and safety andeffectively communicating with internal and externalstakeholders.
- Developing hazardous and chemicalwaste programs in compliance with relevantregulations.
- Conducting investigations intoincidents addressing inquiries or complaints and implementingcorrective and preventive measures.
- Performingrisk assessments to identify and mitigatehazards.
- Conducting audits and evaluations toensure compliance with laws regulations and companypolicies.
- Delivering effective training onsafety and related topics.
- Implementingindustry best practices and ensuring compliance with data integrityand cGMP standards.
Education andexperience requirements include relevant work experience in a cGMPmanufacturing setting a bachelors degree in Occupational Safety orrelated field with seven years of experience or a masters degreewith five years of experience.
Additionally excellent organizationcommunication and presentation skills areessential.
Working conditions involve alaboratory or manufacturing environment requiring personalprotective equipment exposure to various materials and physicalexertion.
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends based onbusiness needs may be necessary.
