The successful candidate will be a key leader in cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders, with a strong focus on strategic donor engagement and relationship-building. This role involves representing the organization at various events, spending significant time externally to deepen relationships with major donors, and supporting the Executive Director in engaging top-tier donors. The Managing Director will also be responsible for setting multi-year strategic priorities, ensuring sustained revenue growth, and aligning the regional donor engagement and communications strategy with national goals. Applicants for the Managing Director of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of development experience, with a proven track record in fundraising, including growing a major gifts pipeline. The role requires experience in managing all aspects of the donor lifecycle and securing six-figure or larger gifts. The ideal candidate will have a background in major gift individual giving fundraising, fundraising events, and experience in supporting and engaging a Board or volunteer leadership group in fundraising. Strong leadership, coaching, project management, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and adapt to a dynamic, evolving environment.
