Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

End Date : January 18, 2026

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Healthcare Setting : Operating Room (OR)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM (12-hour days)

Hours per Week : 36

On Call : Possible on-call requirement

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2200-$2260

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an OR RN or Operating Room Registered Nurse

Proven clinical experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries

BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed per facility policy

Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical support skills

Ability to excel in a fast-paced surgical healthcare environment

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room

Assist surgeons and surgical teams with complex procedures, including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular cases

Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition

Maintain a sterile field and strictly follow infection control protocols

Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Participate in on-call rotation as required by the healthcare facility
