Customs Brokerage Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional with knowledge of CargoWise (CW1), U.S. Customs brokerage regulations, and strong customer-facing skills to join a forward-thinking organization with international reach.

Position Overview

This position plays a vital role in maintaining import compliance across U.S. operations. Reporting directly to the Customs Brokerage Compliance Manager, the position ensures tariff classification accuracy, adherence to U.S. Customs and Participating Government Agency (PGA) regulations, and overall compliance integrity.

This role requires a combination of technical compliance expertise, data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate with brokerage teams, clients, and government agencies. Advanced knowledge of CargoWise CW1 is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor U.S. customs brokerage compliance activities to ensure accurate entry filings and recordkeeping.
• Generate compliance reports using CargoWise CW1 and the ACE Portal; analyze data in Excel / CSV for audits and internal reviews.
• Conduct detailed tariff classification reviews for both internal teams and clients.
• Develop and maintain classification databases for key accounts, ensuring proper PGA codes and SPI applications.
• Ensure employee records in the ACE Portal are accurate and compliant with U.S. Customs requirements.
• Provide guidance on import compliance policies and support quarterly entry audits.
• Partner with Brokerage Managers, clients, and internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance processes.
