Overview :
A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to oversee geotechnical investigations and design work for infrastructure and development projects in the Newark area. This role offers a blend of technical leadership, client interaction, and project delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong geotechnical experience and be comfortable managing multiple projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects including site investigations, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Contribute to geotechnical design tasks such as foundation recommendations, retaining structures, and slope stability.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and schedules; monitor project performance and profitability.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior staff.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and support business development efforts.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.PE license (or ability to obtain in NJ) preferred.6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management.Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., LPILE, Slope / W, gINT, etc.).What's Offered :
