About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a 6-month part-time contract to support our finance team during a period of increased workload. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and experienced in full-cycle AP within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)
Maintain AP files and documentation for auditing purposes
Assist with month-end close, including accruals and AP aging review
Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
Support the finance team with additional AP and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications :
2+ years of accounts payable experience required
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and AP processes
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
