• Test Automation Frameworks : Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Test Case Design : Create and execute test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
• Code Development : Write code to automate testing processes, potentially contributing to the main codebase.
• Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality.
• Performance Testing : Conduct performance and scalability tests to ensure the software can handle expected loads.
• Security Testing : Identify and address security vulnerabilities in the software.
• Bug Reporting : Report and track software defects, working with developers to resolve them.
• Technical Communication : Communicate technical information effectively to various stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement : Continuously improve testing processes and tools.
• Skills Required for an SDET :
• Strong programming skills in languages like Java
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
