Medical Assistant Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Family Medicine and Internal Medicine team. The ideal candidate will have primary care experience and a strong understanding of allergy-related procedures.
This role is responsible for taking vitals, administering injections, assisting with minor procedures, and performing basic triage. The right candidate will also demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and excellent patient service.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Administer injections and assist with allergy-related treatments
- Perform basic triage duties
- Assist providers during minor procedures
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Communicate effectively with providers and staff
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year Medical Assistant experience (Required)
- Experience working in a primary care practice (Required)
- Allergy experience required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Medical Assistant Schedule:
- MondayFriday
- 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- 8-hour day shift
- In-person, outpatient clinic setting

* Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
* Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
* Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
* Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
* Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
* Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
