Accounts Payable Lead
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Lead to join our team in Southlake, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payment processing and vendor management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead process improvements while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the review, processing, and approval of vendor invoices and payment draws to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Perform 3-way matching by verifying invoices against approved purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Ensure all expenses are accurately allocated to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
Review and verify required documentation, such as W-9 forms, insurance certificates, and lien waivers, prior to releasing payments.
Monitor and manage the lien log to maintain compliance and avoid payment discrepancies.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve payment issues and discrepancies effectively.
Prepare and execute weekly check runs and monthly draws, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting by gathering and organizing supporting documents.
Review and manage approved contracts, purchase orders, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
Take initiative to identify and implement improvements to existing accounts payable processes.
Requirements :
Proficient in accounting software and capable of managing accounts payable functions.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, with a preference for advanced proficiency in Excel.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Experience in the construction or real estate industry is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Proven leadership abilities to oversee processes and contribute to team success.
Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary to achieve business objectives.
