Mount Mary University is looking for someone using both sides of their brain. We need a webmaster just as comfortable with the IT elements (coding, technical layout, etc.) as they are with the creative elements (design, content, etc.). Details
This role plans, develops and implements changes to new and existing university websites. Ensures accurate implementation of content, visual design, branding, user experience and content accessibility across university websites. Assists users with edits and modifications to existing websites using university content management systems. Works closely with IT Services team to assist in the management, administration and support of campus web sites and web servers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration, maintenance and development of the university's public facing websites, using the university's content management systems (Hannon Hill's Cascade) and additional tools
- Responsible for the administration, management and maintenance of instances of the content management systems used by the university
- Designs high-quality visual content and create webpages that are user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
- Post continually changing content and strive for new ways to improve the website's look and performance
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Marketing and the Senior Director of IT to implement ongoing initiatives
- Collaborates with IT Services and external vendors to help maintain and update the technical infrastructure and server needs for the website content management systems including MyMountMary.
- Develop and implement SEO strategy
- Assists with troubleshooting and resolution of web performance issues
- Manages and monitors web analytics for university web sites, and provides analytics reports to university administration
- Trains and assists end users in other business units with the usage of university content management system
- Perform website audits and health checks (accessibility, security, performance, SEO, etc.).
- Troubleshoot functional issues and ensure a seamless user experience.
- Work with college stakeholders to translate business needs and data-driven insights into user stories (combined with prototypes / design mockups) to guide and support technical website development.
- Use analytics and testing to continuously optimize web experiences
