Job Summary :

Oversees a team engaged in supply chain functions including customer, solution, and inventory planning and management, while mitigating risk and enabling profitability.

Works with company and partner leadership in support and development of the business group's strategy and financial goals.

Engages in building and leveraging supplier relationships to create and align supply chain plus operations accountability.

Provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial and operational activities.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Analyses customer forecasts and trends using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts and working with customers and sales to plan and buy to forecast.
  • Manages the process of analyzing customer forecasts and trends for materials to determine feasibility of forecasted requirements.

Reviews and reports forecast models that reflect customer requirements for submission to appropriate internal departments for procurement.

  • Manages the review of inventory supply constraints, communicates resolution, and participates in follow-on activities to ensure compliance with commitments to our customers.
  • Manages aged and excess inventory visibility, root cause, and corrective actions.
  • Manages the S&OP process.
  • Oversight of assigned engagements of team, to ensure all model metrics and measurements are being met and appropriate reporting requirements are adhered to according to contractual terms and conditions.
  • Manages the resolutions process to correct problems plus enhance improvements associated with supply and inventory flow.
  • Project manages the program set up and maintenance, e.g., part profile, new part add, End of Life (EOL), transitions, model changes, and recommends modifications to program set up, operation, and inclusion to enhance efficiency and revenue.
  • Manages and coaches team to support negotiations with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensures alignment of the company's goals and objectives with supplier to ensure mutual goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Creates, develops and supports planning processes and tools.
  • Develops the planning organization demand planning talent and aligning workload to maximize performance and people development
  • Other duties as assigned.

Manages experienced, professional employees and / or supervisors; and / or manages large, complex technical and / or business support teams.

Accountable for the performance and results of a team and / or department.

Interprets and administers policies, processes and procedures that affect direct reports and the workflow of the team / department.

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Contributes to budget development and performance standards of department and direct reports.

  • Assignments are defined in the form of objectives. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, business plans and independent judgment.
  • Collaborates with team(s), customers / clients, functional peer group managers and occasionally senior management. Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.
  • Decisions may have impact on work processes and outcomes. Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in serious delays and considerable expenditures of additional time, people and / or financial resources.

Work Experience :

Typically 6+ years including 2+ years of supervisory experience

Education and Certification(s) :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics :

  • S&OP experience preferred.
  • SAP ECC experience preferred.
  • Kinaxis experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing / Systems Integration preferred.
