Manufacturing Lead (3rd Shift)

Production Manager

The purpose of this position is giving direction and assisting employees to keep the production process flowing and producing quality product. This person should be fully capable and knowledgeable in all aspects of the department including every step of the process and all equipment and paperwork associated with it. This is a 3rd shift position working 10pm - 6 : 30am Monday-Friday with overtime available.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

High School diploma or equivalent

5+ years in food manufacturing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

HACCP

Able to run all of the equipment and processes

Direction setting for employees

Ability to Train Effectively

High attention to detail

Able to work well in a team environment

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements :

Frequent work in a hot and humid production environment

Occasional work required outside in various temperatures

This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines

Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members

All safety procedures in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of hands / arms / legs, and eye / hand coordination for 6+ hours a day

Ability to occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds

Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling

Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment

Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other powered equipment and tools

Must be able to wear all PPE that is required

Responsibilities :

Operation, Setup, and Full understanding of all production Equipment and Processes

Ensuring accurate completion of all documentation associated with the Department

Training and Coaching of Production Personnel

Maintaining Communication with the Management team regarding issues and progress in the Department and sending out daily Shift Reports

Ensuring proper Sanitation of the entire Department and associated documentation

Adhering to all company policies and procedures

Ensuring Production Employees are adhering to all company policies and procedures

Ensuring that Employees are working safely and maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Assisting production employees when needed

Maintain product segregation and lot / batch management and ensuring proper labeling of products

Understand, Ensure, and safely perform proper cleaning procedures, following SSOP guidelines

Other relevant duties as trained and assigned by management

Salary Range : $26.75-$32.42 / hr
