Senior Accountant (Long-Term Temporary Need)

Position will be hybrid and located near Irvine Spectrum. Must be local to Southern California, will work 3 days in office, and 2 days remote.

Pay $48-50 per hour.

We’re looking for a  Senior Accountant  for our client located near the Irvine Spectrum. This will be a long-term temporary position.

Will need to have strong Excel skills, including vlookup and pivot tables. Will work with large data sheets and must be able to do heavy reconciliations in Excel with formulas.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant :

Prepare and analyze AR reconciliations; resolve discrepancies with AR / Credit teams

Responsible for bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items

Will compile, prepare and analyze the bank reconciliations

Analyze monthly item class reports and quarterly reserve reconciliations

Handle account reconciliations, accruals, and complex journal entries

Backup commissions reconciliation

Maintain GAAP-compliant records and meet all close deadlines

Support process improvements and internal controls

Document workflows and contribute to cross-functional projects

Key Requirements for the Senior Accountant :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of accounting experience (corporate or mid-size company preferred)

Strong knowledge of US GAAP

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
