Job Title : Machine Operator Plastic Molding
Location : St. Louis, MO
Employment Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule & Compensation :
1st Shift : 7 : 00 a.m.-7 : 00 p.m.
$23 / hour.
Shifts run three 12 hour shifts one week, and four 12 hour shifts the second week. The second week shift will earn overtime pay.
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and reliable Machine Operators to join our plastic manufacturing and molding team in St. Louis, MO. The Machine Operator is responsible for machine setup, operation, quality inspection, and preventive maintenance of molding and production equipment. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing in accordance with GMP, safety, and quality standards .
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor plastic molding machines and related production equipment.
Follow established production schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) .
Inspect, measure, and test finished parts to ensure compliance with product quality standards .
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on molding and packaging equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or process issues during production runs.
Maintain accurate records of machine performance, downtime, and production output.
Handle and replenish raw materials, resins, and components as required for continuous operation.
Adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with production leads, maintenance technicians, and quality control teams to optimize performance.
Perform additional related duties as assigned by the production supervisor or plant manager.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience as a Machine Operator or Production Operator in a plastics manufacturing or molding environment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with injection or blow molding equipment .
Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes , quality control , and safety procedures .
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions .
Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and time management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced production setting.
