ERP Application Development Director

ERP Application Development Director role at University of North Texas System.

Responsibilities

• Performs senior level managerial oversight in support of the ERP client / server enterprise system, ancillary applications, interfaces to third-party products and systems, and related technology. Oversees the planning, scheduling, assigning, and coordinating of ERP and other enterprise application related projects; analyzes proposed computer application selections; and provides technical and business knowledge and expertise in support of the UNT System entities and their technology needs.
• Ensures applications and data are secure, and security and compliance standards are adhered to relating to all facets of the ERP and related enterprise applications.
• Manages a team of technical team leads within the area of responsibility. Functions as a liaison between ITSS and key business stakeholders. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Directs daily operations of subdivision, analyzes workflow, establishes priorities, develops standards and sets deadlines.
• Evaluates technology requests to aid in the assessment of project feasibility and requirements; evaluates organizational technology use and needs and recommends improvements such as hardware and software upgrades or replacements.
• Accountable for planning and execution of multiple IT projects; provides leadership for multiple project teams; IT resource allocation, expense management, development of project objectives and ongoing communication of project outcomes.
• Accountable for resolving high impact problems related to project execution, support, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Accountable for setting appropriate performance expectations and holding staff accountable for delivery of results; ensures effective application of IT goals, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Provides leadership in ongoing, cost-effective applications development methodology.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and seven (7) years of closely related professional experience.
