Job description

Director - Construction

The Director is responsible for project management and leadership for the Southeast market and other T5 markets. This shall include, but not be limited to site management and leadership for individual buildings + full projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Location: Denton/Dallas Fort Worth, Texas | Type: Full-time

Support general leadership of the Southeast market

Lead data center campus teams

Provide hands on management support for individual projects

Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets

Manage overall schedules

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.

Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.

May perform Field Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

Complete other such duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by T5 management.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, required

3+ years Construction experience, required

1+ years Data Center experience, preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Project)

Yardi, Procor and Prolog experience, preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES

Experience with Division 2-10 (concrete through finish trade)

Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors.

Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.

Blueprint reading.

Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.

Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.

Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service ; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.

Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict.
