Job descriptionAnalyze product and / or equipment specifications and performance requirements Recommend / assess designs to provide robust, cost-effective solutions Prepare / coordinate testing and drawing services for customers Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to recommend performance standards for newly designed and / or existing products Proactively support all customer and internal cost savings efforts. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
An Applications Engineer will be tasked with solving application-related issues in the world of fasteners and assembly components. They will act as a liaison between our customer and our engineering team. An Applications Engineer may complete tasks such as determining customers’ technical requirements, supporting sales staff, traveling to our customers sites, and maintaining customer relationships. An Applications Engineer will analyze, theorize, develop, and deploy fastening strategies to help our customers save money, improve their designs, and solve their fastening application problems.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
- Associates Degree in a Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering
- 2+ years of experience developing fastening solutions or solving critical application issues in the manufacturing environment
- Experience with fasteners
