Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 07 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Schedule : Shift : 12-hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM typical) Shift Type : Nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Contract Length : 13 weeks (91 days) Start Date : 10 / 24 / 2025 Facility / Unit Details Department : LDRP RN (L&D only – not Mother / Baby) Setting : Acute Care Charting System : EPIC Trauma Level : Not specified Division : Nursing Unit Information Annual Births : ~400 per year Beds : L&D Beds : 15 LDRP Postpartum Beds : 15 LDRP Ratios : Laboring : 1 : 1 Postpartum / Antepartum : 1 : 3 (AWHONN standards) Common Diagnoses : Obstetric, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, pregnancy with HTN or diabetes Drips Managed : Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Procardia (RNs titrate) Charge Nurse : Yes, typically takes a patient assignment Float Requirement : None except in critical staffing , limited to sitting or task-only roles RT Equipment : Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow available; RNs troubleshoot only Telemetry : None; no monitor techs and RNs do not read strips Experience & Requirements Licensure : Active RN license (state or compact) Certifications : BLS and NRP required BSN : Not required Experience : Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience Skilled in fetal monitoring and titration of OB drips Radius & Employment Rules Radius Rule : Must reside 50 miles from the facility Employment Restriction : Cannot be current FT, PT, or PRN employee of CommonSpirit , CHI , or Dignity Health Driver’s License : Required at submission to verify address compliance Orientation & Testing Orientation : 1 week classroom 2–3 shifts on the floor Exam : Pass / fail open-book skills exam during orientation week Must score 90% or higher to continue contract Scheduling & Policies Weekends : Every other weekend required Holidays : As needed Call / Standby : None RTO Policy : RTO must be submitted upfront (≤7 days) per 13-week contract No additional RTO approved after submission Cancellation Policy : Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (or 3 if shorter than 13 weeks) Fingernail Policy : No artificial nails in patient care areas — refusal results in termination Scrubs : Clean, professional attire (facility color policy applies) Additional Notes Recognition : Blue Distinction Center for patient care with high satisfaction scores Culture : Baby-friendly and team-focused environment About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
