We are seeking to hire a Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator (QAPI) - RN - Registered Nurse .
- $85K to $105K annually based on skills and experience.
Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator - (QAPI)- RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications :
Current QAPI Certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.NY Registered Nurse - RN License.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Long-Term Care.Quality Assessment and Assurance Coordinator - (QAPI)- RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary :
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the quality assessment and assurance (QAA) program and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) activities of the home in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations.Identify, in cooperation with management, the home's key performance indicators and establish an ongoing system to monitor these key indicators.Evaluate key performance indicator outcomes and determine the need for action from leadership and / or management, such as re-education or revisions in policies related to outcomes, regulatory compliance and / or customer satisfaction.Develop and implement the home's QAA / QAPI activities according to the home's QAPI Policy and Procedure including feedback, data collection systems, and monitoring methods.Maintain documentation of the home's QAA / QAPI program activities that demonstrate evidence of its ongoing program.Coordinates the process by which the QAA / QAPI committee will conduct activities necessary to identify and correct quality deficiencies.Lead and coordinate monthly QAA / QAPI team meetings to discuss priorities and develop solutions with the home's leaders such as falls, weight loss, pressure injuries, decline in late loss ADL's, activity participation, life safety code, cleanliness, lost personal belongings, etc.Conduct rounds, observing residents and staff performance, to further identify care delivery systems in need of improvement.Serve as the home's representative and spokesperson during health inspections and surveys regarding the home's QAA / QAPI program requirement. Present the QAPI plan and supporting documentation to the State Survey Agency, Federal surveyor, and CMS at each annual recertification survey and upon request.This is a brief overview of job responsibilities and not intended to be all inclusive.
