Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPRODUCTION ENGINEER
The Production Engineer develops and improves new and existing production processes, increases prototype-to-production times, trains employees for Right-First-Time quality procedures, identifies and troubleshoots problems in the production line, and completes various administrative tasks while ensuring health and safety codes are followed. To be successful at PARADIGM as a Production Engineer, you should be an independent thinker and keen problem-solver. You will participate in requirement derivation, detailed design, system performance modeling, and qualification testing including planning, execution, and data analysis.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Production Engineer shall report directly to the Engineering Manager of PARADIGM.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY RANGE
This position is classified as exempt.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform technical analyses on a variety of field-related subjects.
 - Model or design product in a CAD-based environment
 - Be part of team to develop design reviews, design changes, development of new product, Bill of Materials, Labor Lists, and resource requirements.
 - Work in a team environment and have time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment.
 - Responsible for improving designs, system build packages, efficiencies, and troubleshooting equipment.
 - Supervise and improve the manufacturing processes; ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
 - Liaise with other engineers / managers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
 - Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training.
 - Establish safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account.
 - Create processes that will comply with U.S Government Military Specifications
 - Create KPIs for future business modelling and production demands.
 - Complete all required paperwork and recordkeeping.
 - Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
 - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and be comfortable and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects.
 - Follow company rules and procedures.
 - Must be able to independently lift up to 50 pounds.
 - Works in a team environment and communicates effectively with co-workers at all levels of the company.
 - Performs other duties as assigned by management of PARADIGM.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be US citizen or Permanent (Export Control requirement)B.S.
