Project Engineer – Medford, OR
Salary : $70,000 – $85,000 per year
Experience : 2–3 years
A commercial construction company in Southern Oregon is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. This role will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other team members, providing guidance and mentorship to newer staff who are early in their careers.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in implementing company policies and executing project plans.
Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, working with the team to minimize project constraints’ impact.
Maintain and implement project documentation, including daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
Distribute new drawings, updates, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to relevant parties.
Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and action items for owner / architect / contractor meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Participate in project cost control and contribute to problem-solving with multiple stakeholders.
Support a culture of creativity, accountability, and safety throughout the business unit.
Promote safety culture and provide insight on developing and maintaining construction safety policies and practices.
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and scheduling software.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, including plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices.
Self-starter with excellent organizational, file management, and time management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions with multiple stakeholders.
