Summary :

As a Nursing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to our patients. In this position, you will work closely under the supervision of the unit charge person, ensuring our patients receive the attention and care they deserve, in alignment with our hospital's philosophy and standards.

Responsibilities :

• Demonstrate leadership skills in accordance with OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Perform vital signs and report them accurately.
• Answer calls, record necessary details, and direct messages appropriately.
• Maintain current patient records and notify nurses of any significant changes promptly.
• Assist in requisitioning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure timely return of films at the end of each shift.
• Transport patients as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Assist in obtaining x-rays and medical records when required.
• Provide assistance in the chemotherapy area as necessary.
• Keep ready blank charts for incoming patients.
• Type correspondence, prepare reports, and photocopy documents efficiently.
• Ensure that all patient charts contain the appropriate documentation forms.
• Relay messages to care team members within 5-10 minutes of receipt.
• Prioritize and accurately enter orders in the order entry system.
• Post reports in a timely manner.
• Schedule patient appointments with accuracy and follow up as needed.
• Use computer systems effectively for various tasks.
• Work collaboratively with others while managing time constructively.
• Pre-admit patients before their consultation dates.
• Screen telephone calls and professionally relay messages to appropriate staff.
• Recognize and address priorities effectively.
• Facilitate order entry for radiology and laboratory procedures.
• Collect co-pays and ensure accurate processing of payments.

Work Schedule :

6 PM - 6 AM (12-hour shifts)
