Area Director Of Sales & Marketing

The Area Director Of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the sales and marketing efforts for two propertiesHoliday Inn Columbia, MO and Fairfield Inn Columbia, MOto maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. This position will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build strong client relationships, and ensure brand standards are upheld, while providing leadership to the sales teams at each hotel.

What You'll Do :

• Sales Leadership & Strategy : Develop and implement sales strategies for both hotels to achieve budgeted revenue goals. Identify and secure new business across corporate, group, leisure, and government segments. Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of competitive trends. Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, inventory, and distribution channels.
• Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, travel agencies, and community partners. Conduct client visits, property tours, and presentations to generate business. Represent both properties at industry trade shows, networking events, and community activities.
• Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales teams at each property to achieve performance goals. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Foster collaboration between sales, operations, and revenue teams for unified success.
• Marketing & Brand Compliance : Develop and execute marketing campaigns aligned with each hotel's brand standards. Partner with digital marketing teams to enhance online visibility and engagement. Ensure all sales materials and presentations reflect IHG and Marriott brand requirements.
• Reporting & Administration : Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for corporate and regional leadership. Manage budgets, forecasts, and expenses for both hotels. Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and legal regulations.
