Our client is seeking an experienced paralegal to support employee discipline and grievance matters. This position involves conducting hearings, assisting in arbitration preparation, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and established procedures.
Preside over discipline and / or expedited grievance hearings at multiple work locations, including field and remote sites
Conduct research, gather facts, and issue decisions that form the basis of the organization’s position for arbitration proceedings
Assist attorneys in case preparation, including documentation gathering, witness outreach, interviews, and drafting memoranda
Perform grievance-related investigations and provide support throughout the grievance process
Organize case files, maintain version control, and update case status reports
May present cases before an impartial expedited arbitrator
Prepare and issue written decisions following hearings
Produce detailed status and progress reports as required
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in labor relations, legal research, or arbitration support
Ability to conduct independent research and exercise sound judgment
