CPC Certified Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III with expertise in Plastics / Podiatric Surgery coding.

Key Responsibilities

Abstracts and ensures accuracy of diagnosis, procedure, patient demographics, and other required data elements

Contacts physicians for clarification on conflicting or ambiguous information in medical records

Mentors Coding Specialist I and II, guiding them in coding projects and ensuring compliance with coding standards

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required

5-7 years of medical-professional coding experience required

2 years of experience leading others or a work stream required

Experience with computer systems for encoding and abstracting required
