POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience to build and reinforce satisfaction, trust, and drive organizational loyalty. Accountable for welcoming and preparing the patient for their appointment, the Medical Assistant informs patients of relevant and required information for their visit and provides clear communication around the services they are scheduled to receive. The MA is also responsible for assisting physicians and / or Advanced Care Practitioners and nurses in providing patient care.
PAY RATE : $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Personalized Patient Care & Clinical Support
Create a welcoming and reassuring environment for every patient and family, ensuring each visit feels personal, compassionate, and tailored to their needs.
Greet and room patients with warmth and empathy, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.Complete patient intake with care and attentiveness, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.), and conducting initial assessments within the defined scope of practice.Listen actively and address patient and caregiver concerns, providing clear explanations and emotional support throughout the visit.Prep patient encounters by updating medical records, ensuring accuracy of medications, past medical history, recent bloodwork, and radiology images to facilitate informed provider decisions.Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection with sensitivity and efficiency, including strep, COVID, flu, RSV swabs, hemoglobin / lipid checks, blood draws, urine collection, and other diagnostics, while ensuring patient comfort.Provide breathing treatments and other minor in-office procedures, reassuring and educating families about the process.Assist physicians with procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring a seamless experience for both the provider and patient.Technology & Administrative ResponsibilitiesDevelop expertise in electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinic technology, ensuring real-time, accurate documentation that enhances patient safety and care coordination.
Use EMR tools to personalize patient care plans, tracking progress and ensuring continuity between visits.Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups with thoughtfulness, coordinating with provider availability while accommodating patient needs.Partner with administrative and clinical teams to process prior authorizations, medication refills, and referrals, ensuring seamless care transitions with minimal burden on families.Assist with patient recall efforts to meet quality measures, proactively reaching out to ensure all children receive timely preventive and follow-up care.Clinic Maintenance & ProfessionalismMaintain a clean, comforting, and child-friendly environment, ensuring all exam rooms and medical equipment are properly sanitized and restocked.
Monitor and replenish supplies so that each patient's experience is smooth and uninterrupted.Act as a positive representative of the clinic's brand, demonstrating professionalism, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional service.Communicate with empathy and clarity, ensuring families feel heard, informed, and confident in their child's care.Professional Growth & Team CollaborationDevelop proficiency in clinic-wide technology, including digital scheduling tools, patient communication systems, and diagnostic equipment integration, to provide seamless and personalized care.
Commit to continuous learning, staying updated on best practices in pediatric care, clinic technology, and patient experience excellence.Support and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and excellence in patient care.Engage in team discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and special projects to further enhance clinic performance and the patient experience.WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
High school diploma or equivalent.Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employmentDemonstrated computer familiarity, keyboard skills, computer literate in programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.1+ year of experience as a medical assistant in an outpatient environment.Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferredWillingness to learn new computer programs as needed to sustain practice operations.Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and diverse socioeconomic situations.Demonstrate dependability, initiative, ability to prioritize, work as an effective team member, and accept direction.WHAT WE OFFER :
