One of Maryland’s preeminent financial institutions is seeking a Sr. Trust Officer to join their growing Private Client Group.
You will have the opportunity to engage with HNW and UHNW clients, helping them achieve their trust and estate planning objectives.
Your responsibilities will include administering trust and fiduciary accounts, maintaining substantive client relationships, and ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements as needed.
Ideally, this individual has direct experience in client-facing fiduciary roles, a deep understanding of legal, investment, and tax issues in trust administration, and a proven track record working with high-net-worth clients.
Qualifications of the Sr. Trust Officer :
- Strong educational background and relevant certification
- 4+ years of trust administration and fiduciary experience; ideally client-facing
- Deep knowledge of legal, investment, and tax issues
- Track record working with high-net-worth clients
- Comfortable in lean, entrepreneurial environments
- Strong integrity and teamwork
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities of the Sr. Trust Officer :
- Administer trust and fiduciary accounts
- Maintain positive client relationships
- Ensure legal and tax compliance
- Review legal documents and consult with attorneys
- Prepare trust-related documents
- Interpret trust documents and prepare accountings
- Assist with tax preparation
- Stay updated on relevant tax and legal requirements
- Continuously improve internal processes

- You possess an advanced degree relative to financial & estate planning
- You have prior sales experience
- You have a Juris doctorate
- You hold a CTFA or CFP certification
