Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with AAS Locum Tenens to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15220!

About The Position

We are

seeking a Locums Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to

provide coverage across five urgent care sites in the Pittsburgh, PA area (each

within a 30-mile radius). Providers must be able to work independently and

confidently handle a broad range of urgent care presentations in both adult and

pediatric populations.

Responsibilities

Include :

Independently evaluate, diagnose,

and treat patients with minor injuries and illnesses including :

  • Cold / flu symptoms
  • Rashes
  • Abrasions
  • Lacerations
  • Sprains
  • Minor burns

Perform procedures such as :

  • Suturing / wound care / I&Ds
  • Splinting
  • X-rays / EKG interpretation
  • Blood draws and IV placements

    • Refer high-acuity cases to the

    emergency department as needed

  • Travel between sites as assigned

    • Required

    Skills & Experience :

    Minimum 2 years of experience in

    urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine

    Must be comfortable seeing

    patients of all ages

    Must be comfortable working

    independently

    Proficient with orthopedic

    procedures (splinting) and wound care

    Credentialing

    Requirements :

    Board Certified Nurse

    Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  • Active Pennsylvania license
  • Active DEA
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • COVID Vaccination
