Job Description Summary

This position directs activities of workers engaged in repair maintenance, including coordination of storeroom parts issued. Monday - Friday, 6 : 30a - 3p

Job Description

• Develops job standards and maintains preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Maintains equipment hierarchy to facilitate the gathering of equipment repair history and equipment cost.
• Formulates work plans to ensure all material and tools necessary for job completion are procured.
• Balances workloads according to manpower and equipment availability.
• Performs trend analysis on completed work orders to insure optimum utilization of resources.
• Contributes to the development of training materials and operation procedures.
• Evaluates lock out / tag out procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and updates as needed.
• Develops long range plans to support scheduled plant shutdowns.
• Evaluates equipment reliability and develops position papers to support capital projects.
• Develops and updates worksheets, inspection logs, records etc., as needed.
• Creates a detailed description of work to be performed on a job. A job plan typically includes procedural descriptions and lists of estimated materials, items, labor and tools to be used on a job.
• Collects data from daily downtime reports. Generates weekly, monthly and annual downtime reports and trends from collected data.
• Creates special reports on demand for management, i.e. equipment, chemicals, cost centers, general ledger accounts, outstanding work orders, purchase order status reports etc.
• Creates work orders, preventive and corrective, manufacture of parts, downtime, weekends, projects, one-shots and state required maintenance / monitoring.
• Keeps and updates records of all equipment and operating locations.
• Coordinates with Plant Engineer / Maintenance Supervisors in the installation of new equipment.
• Coordinates with Plant Engineer / Maintenance Supervisors / Maintenance Leads in the creation of work orders.
• Verifies lock out / tag out is attached to work orders where appropriate.
• Assists in the storeroom as needed.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing Department for the issuing of purchase orders to vendors.
• Applicability of job levels varies by location and is determined by the plant skills matrix.
