About The Position

Knowledge in administering conscious sedation
Ability to identify dysrhythmias
Proficiency in EMR, specifically Epic
Description :
The position involves working in the GI Lab.
The RN will be responsible for patient care in the endoscopy area.
Daily patient volume is approximately 30, focusing on screening colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies.
The RN will assist physicians in procedures, practicing medical and surgical asepsis.
Monitoring patients during conscious sedation is required.
The ability to manage airway and interpret 12 lead EKG / ECG is essential.
Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and patient privacy must be demonstrated.
The role requires self-motivation to provide the best patient healthcare.
The RN will need to travel between the endoscopy area and the GI lab as necessary.
Interdisciplinary support, including interpretation services, is available.
The unit features two procedure rooms, three recovery bays, and two pre-operative rooms.
Knowledge in the use of Bravo Recorder Devices is preferable.
