Our client is building rugged, multi-purpose humanoid robots designed to do real work. The founders have decades of experience in humanoid robotics, bionics, and product development—with hardware that's been to space, explored the ocean floor, and entertained millions at Disney Parks. Their mission : ship beautiful, reliable robots at scale.
We're looking for a Perception Engineer who thrives on hard problems, brings deep expertise in localization and 3D computer vision, and is eager to see their work come alive in humanoid robots operating in the real world.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced perception systems that enable humanoid robots to localize on maps and within environments (factories, rooms, designated work areas).
- Design and optimize sensor fusion pipelines integrating LiDAR, cameras, depth sensors, and IMUs.
- Implement deep learning for object recognition, scene understanding, and adaptive perception.
- Conduct rigorous calibration, noise reduction, and fusion techniques for robust real-time performance.
- Push the frontier of humanoid safety, balance, and human-robot interaction through perception innovation.
