Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architecture Project Manager (PLA) to join a leading multidisciplinary design firm based in South Carolina . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, licensed Landscape Architect to take a leadership role on diverse projects across the Southeast.

About the Role

As a Landscape Architecture Project Manager , you’ll lead the design and management of complex site development projects from concept through construction. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, clients, and consultants to deliver creative, buildable design solutions that enhance the environment and community.

The ideal candidate is passionate about design excellence, thrives in a collaborative setting, and has a strong track record of managing people, projects, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple landscape architecture projects from planning to completion
  • Lead design efforts, presentations, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
  • Mentor junior designers and oversee project quality standards
  • Prepare and manage project contracts, budgets, and schedules
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management
  • Handle out-of-town projects effectively as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a design or planning firm
  • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license required
  • Active member of ASLA or similar professional organization preferred
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and manage complex site design projects
  • Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of site planning, grading, and regional design standards
  • Experience preparing large contracts and managing budgets
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite , and related design tools
