  • Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)\n
  • Shift : 12 Hour Nights (3 : 00 PM – 3 : 00 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Bed Count : 101\n
  • Patient Ratios : Typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds)\n
  • Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexibility to meet department needs\n

    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year as an Emergency Room RN\n
  • Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ visits / year) preferred\n
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start)\n
  • ENPC certification within 90 days of hire\n
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback\n
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department\n

    ER RN Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting\n
  • Perform advanced nursing procedures and operate equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors\n
  • Document patient care using Cerner EMR system\n
  • Maintain positive patient experiences using AIDET principles\n
  • Update patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families\n
  • Collaborate with healthcare techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams\n
  • Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed\n
  • Adhere to department policies, attendance guidelines, and dress code (navy scrubs)\n
