Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA RN license and strong critical care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital intensive care unit (ICU) setting
  • Day shift : 6 : 00 am to 6 : 30 pm
  • 13-week travel contract assignment
  • Responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process
  • Directs and guides patient / family teaching and the activities of other nursing staff
  • Communicates patient condition changes, performs hemodynamic monitoring, and accurately responds to emergencies
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license is required
  • Minimum of 3 years recent critical care experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI / BVP) certification required (can be completed online)
  • Must confirm RN license status via Nursys
