Overview
The AM Line Cook plays a key role in delivering a high-quality breakfast and lunch experience for guests at Cambria Downtown Austin. This position is responsible for preparing menu items according to brand standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and supporting the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate food items for breakfast and lunch service in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to service.
Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency while maintaining proper portion control.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock to minimize waste.
Communicate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies as outlined by the hotel and Pyramid Global Hospitality.
Support the culinary leadership team with prep, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a line cook in a hotel, restaurant, or comparable kitchen environment preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary training a plus.
Skills:
Strong knife skills and familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques.
Ability to follow recipes, plating standards, and timing for breakfast and lunch service.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Requirements:
Must be able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Must adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
