Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Hybrid Cath Lab / IR Technologist with 1.5+ years of interventional radiology and cath lab experience, holding ARRT, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a short-term acute care hospital in a dual role combining Cath Lab and Interventional RadiologyDay shifts, typically 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM, start times may vary as early as 6 : 30 AMFour 10-hour shifts per week (7 : 30 AM – 6 : 00 PM) with rotating after hours call shiftsWeekend coverage required, every third weekendOn-call required in both Cath Lab and Hybrid OR, approximately 10 shifts per month with a 3-hour call backRotating holiday coverage with the expectation to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysFloating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals may occurPatient charting is performed using CernerPrimary duties include performing procedures in both the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology suiteAll parking is free on site5 days or less requested time off is auto-approved; must work either Christmas or New Year's, Thanksgiving is guaranteed offTeam-based environment, with regular support for call and weekend rotationsPrevious permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before eligibility to return as a travelerLocal candidates are accepted for this positionScrubs or dress code guidelines provided upon assignmentRequirements
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience in both Cath Lab and Interventional RadiologyCurrent ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required; AHA and RQI acceptedGraduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNEPending IN state or Compact License accepted if start is within 2-4 weeks; license required if applicableExperience with Cerner EMR requiredMust be able to perform both IR and Cath Lab duties as part of this dual roleOpen to first-time travelersBenefits
